I had very poor experience with Royal Mail when sent a piece of jewellery next day delivery, insured for £500. The parcel arrived cut, through the outer envelope and inner packaging, and taped to cover the cut mark on the outside. A piece of jewellery that was inside was removed. When reported it to Royal Mail there was no response for a long time, then I was asked for photographs which I have submitted as well. After all that I was replied back that they cannot see how the piece of jewellery could have been removed through 2 inches cut whole.
I have escalated the case again and again and keep being asked to resent the same photos that I have submitted. It is outrageous. They take money for insuring the parcel, ask you what is inside, then remove it, deliver empty packaging and are not taking responsibility!
