The rspca are not fit for purpose. I have rang them several times about a dog being kept on a tiny balcony in all weathers. The balcony takes the brunt of all weathers, freezing and wet in winter and absolutely no shade on a hot day like today. There is no kennel or shelter . The owner is aggressive and unapproachable . When I tried to speak to him he said "thats his home". The rspca seem to agree with him because their response is "we can't come out because its not a priority" I can understand they have more urgent cases but surely they can at least put it on a list . Apparently the owner has already had one dog took off him at this address but according to the lady I spoke to they have no record of it. They asked ridiculous quiestons which were impossible to answer because of where the dog is , body weight and condition, plus photo evidence. Yes I'm going to climb up to the second floor balcony to take photos 🙄. They should have the word prevention taken out of their title because it seems an animal has to be at deaths door before they will do anything. Meanwhile I'm left feeling helpless about this poor dog. Its breaking my heart worrying about him being outside and whatever else he may be going through too.
