I'm from California, and when we would report that a skunk or a raccoon -- the worst urban pests we have -- are hurt or trapped, the ASPCA would act immediately, coming to the scene to help rescue it and possibly take it for treatment. The RSPCA has such a disgusting, apathetic tone towards a poor fox that was trapped in what the British call a "Coal Hole." It had been trapped for over 24 hours, and clearly had had no food, water, or shelter that whole time; in addition, it's a wile animal, and can thus be dangerous for a laymen ignorant of wildlife to help properly. The RSPCA did not give two damns about. They seem to only care about domesticated dogs and cats, and whether people are mistreating them. they don't deserve their title, and should be ashamed that America, the land of guns and hatred, bears more responsibility to its animals, wild or domesticated, pest or not. I'll tell you what, though; if we have to deal with something similar in the future and my husband, myself, or worst of all, my six year old daughter, is injured, I'm getting a lawyer.
