Unfortunately, I've had a really bad experience with Safestyle (and it's still ongoing!) - initial salesman was absolutely fine, when the fitter came to measure up he was wearing no PPE (one of the reasons I contacted Safestyle was because of their policy on safety during COVID-19). I'd even double checked it would be a factor when making appointments and was assured full PPE - 'viser, mask, gloves & shoe covers' would be worn. When I informed him that I'd been told he'd be wearing PPE, he was incredibly rude; told me it was at his discretion and announced that he 'hasn't had to wear it so far'.As you can imagine, the revelation that he has been in numerous homes potentially immediately before mine with blatent disregard, did nothing to put my mind at ease. I contacted Safestyle immediately after he had left, I was quite upset about the whole thing - that I'd been stupid enough to think they were taking measures seriously and it wasn't just lip service - I felt I'd let me family down by trusting what they'd said online and let someone into my home.
I was told my refund was in hand and the matter would be escalated. When I rung to get an update the next day and wanted to be sure that my cancellation had gone through, I was told, "it definitely has, I watched him cancel the order". He also assured me I'd recieve the money on Monday (which is today - still no money). I've been told on 3 separate occasions I'd 'get a call back shortly' - still nothing. I wouldn't mind but they are not busy. Upon registering my interest I was called 6 times immediately that afternoon. Salesman the same day, fitter came 2 days later. They are just in no hurry to acknowledge their lack of safety measures/training or respect for customers. Or they are waiting until my cancellation period has expired in an attempt to not refund me...
I rung for the second time today and was told (despite being told several times something to the contrary) that my order was indeed not cancelled -(again, I'd been told it was); and I'd even been given a date for when I'd recieve my refund ( I was clearly just told that to get me off the phone).
Tried to ring 'head office' main line 5 times - I held for 45 mins at the longest. Their voicemail says to send an email and 'get a response within 24 hrs', sent an email, automated response states 'get a response in 72 hours' - who knows. Rung local branch 4 times - told something different each time.
Shocking disregard for Government led safety measures and equally shocking customer service. AVOID.
UPDATE - Have now emailed 3 times in total (well over '72 hours' since the first, and nearing that timescale since I sent the second one) and no response, and no money. No-one has been in touch regarding the fact that their staff are entering peoples homes with no PPE - they clearly do not care, and have essentially stolen £100 which I was told I'd get back days ago. Disgraceful.
