I have purchased the SAMI-3 to help me sleep at night knowing that my 4.5 years old daugther would be safe in her bed. She has epilepsy since she is 6 weeks old, and she had recurent brief seizures for the last 6 weeks. We have been playing with her meds, and I was using a baby monitor to look at her if needed but that type of camera wasnt capturing her seizures and recording them. I needed a way that I could capture and monitor her seizures at night to know if her meds were working for her or if changes needed to be done again... Also, I needed something so I could sleep again, because I was sleeping with her to watch her. Since I have purchased this SAMI-3, I am now able to sleep at night knowing that if ny daugther has a long seizure I will be warned with an alarm sound and I can review all the recording the following morning to make sure I am keeping track of her seizures.... the lenght, the movement, etc. This camera also offer some setting that let you lower the background noise so you can hear her breathing properly... this gave me the opportunity to leave her whitenoise machine on during the night. The sami-3 camera also helped me to send recording of my daugther seizures to her neurologist, so she can review them for proper evaluation, etc. Even do my daugther's seizures are very brief 5 to 20 seconds, this camera allow me to aleep at night knowing that I can review the recording the following morning.
