ZERO! They do not deserve a 1! Within a year, a cement bolt that holds the washer drum to a bracket broke. Before we were aware of the break, this horrendous banging occurred. We called Samsung Warranty and the guy said it was probably an uneven load. He was disregarding my stating this noise was unbearable. After telling me if they come out and it is nothing and still making me feel like it was nothing, he said we will pay if someone comes out and it is nothing. We were given a local company who was "Samsung certified". What a joke! It all looked like everything was going smoothly until a no-show. We waited all day and I even contacted the company at 11AM (when their scheduled time was 10-12AM) just to ensure someone was coming--no answer. I texted the number they stated to text for a response. No response. I called numerous times. No answer. No response. No reschedule. I called the second wonderful Samsung warranty repair company. An appointment was scheduled. All looked smooth sailing until I decided the next day to see if they had me in their books so I didn't have to wait ANOTHER WEEK for service (I already waited 1 week for the no-show). Nothing! They said I was never scheduled. I called my own service repair. I tried to call Samsung Warranty, and you are on hold forever. So I called my own guy. He came out the next day, found the "Never have seen this before" sheared-off bolt, and redistributed bolts to secure the washer drum. He said it should be fine. He had to take the washer apart and it took several hours as well as configuring himself in a confined laundry room to fix. I spent hours writing corporate Samsung pretty confident they would back me that I went through enough. I spent hours making a detailed report with attachments of the $270 receipt, links to terrible on-line reviews of the warranty companies they refer us to (most saying no-shows or the work wash shotty). I honestly expected with everything we went through they would honor my request. They basically said, "They are a big company and they have rules..." Well that is just WONDERFUL customer care! Prices are up, they are making a bundle on their machines. They care less about the consumer. I wanted a BOSCH; however, with they way of the world today, we live with nothing available anymore. Good on you, Samsung! You proved you are a greedy company who cares less about your quality of your product or your consumers. Warning! NEVER EVER EVER buy an extended warranty. We don't because of this very thing. They make their money with their useless warranties. They take forever, provide shotty workers, and you spend HOURS on the phone. THREE HOURS on the phone just to TRY to get my washer scheduled to be fixed. And then writing a report to try to get $270 back. I don't care about the money, it is the concept that they make it all sound like a wonderful process, when it sucks! No more Samsung washers or dryers for me! And you can gladly give me the sales garbage about being a large company and having your hands tied. It proves you don't stand behind your product.
