I bought one AC - model AR18RV3JHMCNNA -on 02/09/2019 paying INR36000. The product started malfunctioning after 18 months,and failed to cool the room even after 2/3 hrs of operation. The men from d local service centre detected leakage of gas and refilling of gas done in September last year. But no noticeable change in service did take place. This year during the heat wave in July-Aug the unit failed miserably to cool the room even after hours of working. The service centre reported that the leakage had not been repaired last year,and so there was no gas. They assured the defect got repaired this time and I paid a bill for INR 3800. To my specific query, the service centre replied that no guarantee could be given against gas-leak beyond 3 months.
I then preferred a complaint against supply of a defective product that has been compelling me to incur a recurring expenditure of 10% of its cost price towards refilling of gas every year since it's purchase in 2019. Will it not prove a 'white elephant' for me?
I, therefore, demanded justice from this leading global manufacturing co by highlighting the points detailed above. I emailed to the service head in India, its Indian CEO and even d global CEO. But no action has been initiated even after 3 weeks of my complaint.
My demand is replacement of this defective article. I admit such replacement may be an exception as it's beyond the company's policy. But exceptional thing demands exceptional treatment also. Hope right thinking customers will find logic in my demand.
