I have a Z Flip phone and is less than 1 year old. I called customer care who advised me to visit the samusung service center in werribee.
The crease of the Flip has developed cracks now and half the time when I open the phone, the screen doesn't light up. I took it to the service centre and they say that because there is a black spot on the top corner of the phone, they cannot replace it.
That spot has been there from the first day I owned the phone and is nowhere related to the issue with the screen coming apart from the fold.
Samsung knows they have made a terrible quality flip screen which is bound to develop issues and are finding reasons not to honour the warranty.
I have purchased atleast 20 personal samsung phones since the launch of Galaxy s2, thankfully never had to deal with the service centre, but the Galaxy Flip service opened my eyes and making me move to maybe a Pixel or even an iphone. I have been one of those battling with people telling to buy Samsung against an iphone, but Thanks for letting me down Samsung and opening my eyes. I probably owe an apology to all iPhone users.
