Urgent GAS SAFETY issue IGNORED
Ordered a gas hob from samsung for a new kitchen. When it was installed, the plumber discovered it had a gas leak so instructed us not to use it. Samsung were already aware of the issue having issued a safety recall on the product A MONTH before (they hadn't informed us, despite us having ordered directly from them).
They put us onto Midea who were supposed to be doing the repairs under the recall. Visit was booked for over 2 weeks later. Day before scheduled visit, they cancel the appointment. Transpires they don't actually have the replacement part for the repair, and haven't had them for six weeks, so should never have scheduled the appointment.
This fault has already resulted in a gas explosion causing serious injury (not us) so it's an urgent safety issue.
Samsung customer service (lol) passing us from one department to another, with no-one actually resolving the problem.
Hard to imagine how they could make customer service any worse!
