We've used Scanpan for well over 10 years. One of our original 8" skillets finally started showing signs of wear and we replaced it. We've never found another surface, and we've tried most of the high-end ones, that lasts and maintains it non-stick characteristics like Scanpan. We do take care of it--we don't put it in the dishwasher and we try to avoid very high temperatures (500 F.). Some of the pans/skillets we have are heavy--well-made, thick metal--they heat very evenly. I couldn't be more pleased.
