I ordered furniture in September and was given a lead date of 27 November for delivery. I was then told it would be the following week because of a shortage of the chemicals needed to make the foam. This fact is actually true but the Store Manager decided to embellish this excuse by saying that the chemicals used are need in COVID testing and that's why they are in short supply. This is blatantly untrue as the two chemicals, Propylene oxide and Toluene diisocyanate are both carcinogenic and highly toxic. The next delivery date given was 21 December and then updated to 5 January and this time I was actually given a delivery date - today. I was then asked to pay the balance. I did that and 3 hours later received a text to say that delivery date had been cancelled and they couldn't yet give me another one. In the meantime I had been reading many, many horror stories from customers who had actually received their furniture and it was grossly inferior that that seen in the showrooms. Some of the photos displayed were horrific. I decided at that point to cancel the order and did so two days ago. This fact doesn't seem to have got through to all departments, despite the fact that I already have a full refund. I received a further text this morning to say my furniture will be delivered on 15 January. I decided to ignore this text. I'm sure they'll soon work it out for themselves.
