Ordered carpet from scs 1st week of May. They said it would take 4 weeks til in stock and then they could fit it a week later. After a month I rang and they said they would chase it up. Heard nothing. Emailed customer services who replied and said it was delayed and expected to be in 2 weeks later. I replied asking them to assure me it would be fitted by the end of June or if not I would order another carpet that was in stock. Then heard nothing. All contact ignored. Went to the shop, carpet manager was useless and in the end rude. There was no explanation of why it was late. Eventually I got a call saying carpet was in stock but fitting couldn’t be for another 17 days! I was furious. They said fitter can only do one stair carpet per day and because I hadn’t ordered a carpet for a flat area (room) I would have to wait til then. They said they would email my shop and someone would contact me. Needless to say no one ever did. Emailed my disgust to customer services again. No reply. So carpet has just been fitted 2 and half months later. Fitters were ok, did it in just over an hour although they were expected 9-11am and didn’t start til 1pm. Again no call to say they were running late. Can’t see why they wouldn’t have time to fit another stair carpet in same day. Now today I’ve received 2 emails at 1am and 2am to say my carpet is in stock and that they will shortly be fitting it! Bloody ridiculous. Don’t order a carpet from them. They lie and they don’t have any standard of customer service whatsoever. If they had said at the beginning it would take this long then I could have decided whether to order it or go elsewhere. Will never shop there again.
