Worst company ever! Avoid at all costs.
Bought a 3 and 2 recliner chairs on 29/12/2019, which was eventually delivered last June 20 ( seriously delayed by Covid - fair enough)
One recliner was dropped out of the delivery van, which ended up with the metal frame being twisted. To be fair, SCS customer service called the same day to arrange an appointment to have it checked. We were well impressed!
Then it all went Pete Tong from there. 3 visits later and it’s still not fixed. Technicians come and take photos and don’t do anything. The leather in the seat has now become baggy as the seat foams have partially collapsed because of the old frame being twisted. Frame took months to replace ( by a subcontractor who struggled for over 2 hours and didn’t manage to fit it correctly) and now the seat doesn’t open/recline fully and the leather is still baggy. The technicians tell us they can only do what’s in their iPads and head office haven’t logged the fault ( despite telling them 3 times) but all
technicians have all verbally agreed it has to be reupholstered - our neighbours at witness as they were in one day when the technician appeared…. This one was sober!
The most recent technician turned up absolutely reeking of alcohol and still clearly very drunk!!!! Spent the whole visit complaining that he was feeling really unwell - no you’re hung over 😡😡😡 despite SCS telling us about Covid expectations, he rambled up, no face mask or hand sanitiser, then asks to use our bathroom - needless to say was sick! 🤢🤢🤢🤢
He shouldn’t have been driving let alone working. Sent an email of complaint to head office right away, received a reply stating would be back in touch 3/5 working days, heard nothing. Resent, got another reply… guest what? Heard nothing - laughable.
The show stopper happened today though. Got a telephone call late SUNDAY afternoon 😳 with the advisor telling me that they hadn’t received my complaint emails after me asking (bearing in mind both had been acknowledged) and the last drunk technician has kindly reported there is absolutely nothing wrong with the recliner. He needs to go to Specsavers - mind you, he was still drunk, so I suppose anything would look good to him!
I have now been advised to contact our finance company - SCS told me that, I didn’t suggest to go to arbitration.
It’s going to be an expensive business for them as the camera doesn’t lie! ( photo of the chair is my profile picture)
Utterly disgusted and fuming!
They have the cheek to send a drunk idiot to our house, then he submits an inaccurate report which causes more hassle.
Honestly will never buy from SCS again.
Nearly £900 wasted. Was going to pay in full in cash but so glad we chose to opt for finance for the added protection. Note this wee tip guys - it’s invaluable!
So, in lieu of SCS seemingly shirking full responsibility, it’s over to Hitachi Capital.
…. Unless of course an SCS manager reads this and decides to eventually do the right thing! Come on SCS - it’s time to stand up and be counted!
Oh! And don’t send a drunk technician 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
