Wow what a shambles of a sofa. I bought my mother in law a new sofa from SCS to try and cheer her up after the loss of her son, this was a year after her loss. She chose a sofa which had back support and no scatter cushions as she is 70 now, bless her. The sofa received was not in anyway the same sofa in the showroom. The cushions where all soft and when you sat on them you sank into the sofa up to the point where you can feel the springs. I'm 12 stones, so imagine her heavier guest. My poor mother in law didn't let me know as she knows how busy I am running my three business so time pasted by. When I did visit months later I sat on the sofa and everything came out. I saw that one of the cushions is damaged and not coming back up into position and I could feel the springs. All the rest but one where not fit for purpose and all where not filled to what the showroom sofa had. The stuffing wasn't done correctly, the exact words from the senior technician from Emeria. Emeria is the company employed by SCS do do there reports and repairs. This is the second visit and still to this date no sympathy or compassion from any of there customers service staff. They are rude, unprofessional, no sympathy no compassion and there's words are always the same, they need to do a repair. The technician has clearly stated that these sofa has not been made correctly and it would need to be repaired which will be impossible due to the whole sofa needing reupholstered and the stitches will never ever match up, the stitching isn't matching up as it is. I have gone back to the Beckton store where I bought it and they have informed me that the company SCS has been sold and taken over by an Italian firm and that I have till the 14 August to get this resolved. The manager and deputy manager don't care also. They have told me to wait as they have emails internally and apparently SCS hasn't gotten back to them. Humm.. I strongly believe that SCS is only procrastinating on this huge fault on this sofa so they don't have to be liable for it after the 14th August, what a cheap trick. I have been told that a Emeria will come out and do a repair five calls later still no date for a repair. They have mentioned to me that I didn't inform them within 30 days. These problems arose a few months into the purchase of the sofa. So basically the sofa has only lasted a few months and we have just been robbed of 2K. tut tut.. So basically don't buy from SCS as you won't get what you see and feel in there showrooms. Terrible customer service and don't waste your hard earned money with them. There is plenty of other companies out there who will take care of you all.
