Sales staff were knowledgeable and helpful it was the lack of service in fitting the carpet which is unacceptable.
The fitting day was agreed at the showroom and I was told that we would receive a call 30 mins before fitting. This did happen but at 17:30 in the evening. For this I did not even need to take a day’s leave. I also cannot believe that SCS hide behind the concept that the fitting is a contract between you and the fitter where the customer pays them directly.
These days a higher level of service is expected from companies and this seems to be something out of the 80’s.
After a 45min period where people seemed only interested on getting home the room has been left for me to finish with carpet trimmings and loose tuffs everywhere with the parting words of “leave it an hour before vacuuming”.
If I could offer advice to SCS it would be to employ your own carpet fitters which have the time and skill to fit the product you have sold. What is the point of your salesman doing his best work if it is to be undone so quickly by the people you use to fit the carpet
If you want a carpet fitted with care and attention go to a store which use their own installers where the company you have paid takes responsibility for the sale and fitting.
