Four years ago we paid cash for two endurance sofas and a lounge carpet. Promise of Christmas delivery. First the carpet came and was cut too short. Then we heard that colour was out of stock. No apologies.
Picked another colour SCS Stockport not bothered if we got for Christmas but thanks to the great carpet fitters we had something similar fitted. No date given for suite delivery eventually 2 days before Christmas came two sofas one the wrong colour. After countless phone calls and false promises the sofas were delivered after Easter the following year!!!!!
So they were only 3 years old when a great deal of the top coating started shedding from one sofa. These sofas have had very light use as we live abroad 1/2 the year and have no pets or children . Now starting to luck like an old sofa. Surely they should last longer?
At first the shop staff in Stockport were scathing. Saying I couldn't expect more! I went to the citizens advice the SCS stockport manager called them jack of all trades. My sofa is red he also said that wasn't in vogue anymore. No sorry or can we help etc. Dead arrogant receptionist who now ignores me if I go in.
Eventually offers 550 quid off a new sofas. But they are completely different. For something similar I would have to stump up well over another 1300 pounds.
The colour matches my lounge and the carpet would have great dents in it . SCS not concerned. Dont go there . There furniture is dispossable quality. If I could upload photos to show others I would. But I haven t even started on them yet so watch this space .
