Atrocious service. Probably one of the worst customer experiences I've had. If I could give 0 stars I definitely would.
Went in to buy carpets to fitted in my home and after they came and did the survey they kept phoning me up subsequently chasing for the remaining payment. I paid within a few days in store as they didn't have online facilities to make them payment and I couldn't just pay in any SCS store; had to be the one I purchased from.
After payment, it was around a week before they could get someone around to fit it all. SCS got some kids to come around to do half a job. They left the place in a state with nails, carpet cuts and bits of pile everywhere. They said they get charged to chuck it away but for me it's free so they just left it all a mess (which required me hiring a skip the next day). They also left a noticeable mound under the new carpet in the hallway and the main bathroom doorway was missing the door bar so we couldn't shut the door (fortunately we have another bathroom we can use). The store had apparently got the door bars mixed up so the fitters said they would sort it out with SCS and I would be called up to arrange a date for refitting. This didn't happen. I had to ring up almost everyday for the next two weeks even going into the store and finding out that some of my issues hadn't even been logged on their system.
It's the third week now since the carpet fitting and none of my issues (the carpet mound and the missing door bars) have been sorted. Their after sales service is an absolute joke and you will have to spend endless hours on the phone trying to get a hold of someone who may be able to help only to be promised a callback which never happens.
Once again, an absolute joke of a company. Go anywhere else for your carpets. NEVER BUY FROM SCS!
