Had a delivery date for November 21st for 1pm - 6pm. At 5:30pm I get a call from what I assume is the manager, explaining my delivery won't be made. You are required to stay home for the delivery so I lost a day of work and as I work as a contractor, I have lost money for missing work.
They did delivery 2 days later.
I tried to ask for compensation for the delivery fee but got nowhere. Emails and phone numbers are all over the place (some are old and don't work) and don't actually link up to the stores. You're always promised you will get a call back but it never happens (on three occasions I was told I'd get a call back as they never seem to be able to contact their own stores).
I called in again after a month and spoke with a staff member who said SCS do not give into the compensation culture (funny) and that I should ask for a goodwill gesture instead but that's up to the store who... he couldn't get in contact with. It's clear now why they aren't with the Ombudsman.
If you need to buy from this place, make sure to purchase online (it will be the same price as in store - you can still view it in store) as you will have more rights and save time.
I've got more purchases to make but will be going elsewhere for better customer service.
