You had your full dated legal notification, and blew it, now is the time to show what is going to happen next. I purchased for cash a sofa and electric recliner. The delivery men ripped the wiring out of the recliner on first operation, since then I have written to David Knight CEO of SCS 4 times, without one reply, I have had a technician visit and condemn the electric motor, since then nothing, I have no idea how long it is going to take to repair the useless object taking space in my living room, I can’t lower or relax the head/neck rest to make it comfortable to sit in, the position is forward so you are doubled up when trying to sit. I have been to the showroom who tell me it is in the hands of the senior female customer care manager, she has failed dismally to contact me at any time through my complaint. I have served to David Knight official notification in relation to a not fit for purpose sale of goods which as everything else has been ignored. As that notice had a legal seven day deadline and today he has missed that, I will be legally now setting my claim against him personally. I also in store on purchase paid for a service agreement for repair over and above the 12 months covering the items for 5 years, however if that is anything like the service I have had so far that may as well be put down the toilet. On top of that I also paid £30 for a care kit for the leather, that has never been delivered or sent, on mentioning it at the shop last week they assured me that it would be in the post Monday and with me by Wednesday, that has not happened, I take it now as Theft by deception and will be taking legal action against SCS and David Knight personally for this theft, he and his company are thieves. The repair of the items is now in the distance, I require a full refund, not because I purchased the goods in some mistaken obsession, but because they have failed at every juncture to remedy the items I have brought to their attention. This company should be ashamed to be selling on the high street, they have no moral compass and leave customers high and dry when any problem, big or small raises its head. One final aspect I have instigated is that it has been highlighted to the BBC rogue traders site, with full evidence of all communication from our side with the complete failing of any compliance from SCS.
