So apparently techs are allowed to charge what they think is worth thier labor, get this, I broke the latch on my washer I had one come in to my house to fix it he spent 8 mins on his phone looking up the part pulled out pliers spent less than 5s pulling it out....if im not mistaken labor is time worked right? So that's less than 5s and even if u add up all the time it was less than 9 mins ok cool he charged me 299.95 for labor because I guess 9 mins of his day was worth that much that's insane. I talked to my family about it, and buy the way I this is my first time owning a house and my first repair, I'm 25 some might say I'm old enough to know better but it was my first time dealing with this, anyways talk to my family and they told me they over charged I got to thinking and they were right. This man charged me over $30 per minute I had no idea that people got paid like that.
