“I bought home warranty with them in december and I am regretting it now .So much bad experience ,you have to call them so many times and if you have to replace anything then order comes really late and then again you have to reschedule your appointment .If you have plumbing services too then they hire third parties to do it and it is a mess too .You have to call them again and again to fix that.”
“I regret buying my appliances at Sears. Besides paying my warranty, I have to pay a $100 for the technician to come to my house. Four different appointments were made, where the tech did not show up. I always receive a text stating that the technician will not be able to make it. When I call sears. the agents/supervisors do not speak English very well. All they are able to do is apologize and make a new appointment. I then go through the same hassle again for the new appointment.”
“DON'T BUY THE SEARS WARRANTY - Sears no longer offers knowledgeable customer service, quality products, outstanding techs, and a stellar warranty. If you get a warranty, expect a monthly charge and a $100 fee every time the tech comes to service your appliance, usually after they reschedule you multiple times. Additionally, don't expect to get the same color, quality, or size if you need to replace your product. You should expect to get a runaround and shuffled from department to department; many departments don't have anyone to help you with your problem. After 40-plus years with Sears, they have lost another customer, and if I could I would rate the 0 out of 5 stars.”
“Actual costs are significantly higher than advertised on their website. The diagnostic fee of $148 is waived and offsets the total bill. Their website shares that for a Fridge labor to install the part often costs more than $150 with the total being in the range of $230-$300. HOWEVER when the repairman came his quote for labor starts at $375 plus the part costs ($538 total even with the diagnostic fee waiver).
Order # 0008175-11891874
To add insult to injury, the repairman did not come out with the required repair part. This was after I spent about 15 minutes on the phone with a Sears representative the prior day confirming the make, model, & serial number plus identified the symptoms so the necessary part could be sent with the repairman. INSTEAD I had to pay for the SERVICE UPFRONT with the required part being sent direct to my address & the repair being completed the following week. ALL AVOIDABLE if the repairman had the part discussed the previous day on his truck. Extra time, Extra costs, & Customer Disappointment.”
“terrible place to order online stuff. No customer service, no direct number to contact for your order. hard to communicate with sears.com. Order twice from sears.com and didn't received my items. will never buy from sears.com again.”
“i ordered an SSD replacement for my mac on sears.com. thought i was buying it--a 10TB drive--from sears. nope. a 1TB drive showed up and when i tried to return it, they argued with me for 2 weeks, saying it was a third party and they can't do anything. finally, after hours on stupid chats w sears, i got an RMA. it's been another 2-3 weeks, no refund in sight. sears is a total scam. zero integrity.”
“My economic model Sears washer is falling apart in a few short years. The drum is wobbling and a bunch of rusty steel pieces on the bottom of the basket. Piece 0' garbaje. Chinese revenge i guess.”
“You people came out to fix my dryer that was working it just wouldn’t get hot it was the thermostat $22 part he charged me $325 for 15 minutes of work, I don’t know what kinda games ur playing but it’s foul I’ll NEVER use your service again 💩”
“We had a technician come and perform a simple repair to our dryer. After a few weeks it started making a loud banging sound. I had someone from GE come and look only to be told that the work for mangled and they made so many mistakes that it was now misaligned. When I called sears to have it repaired they refused as it was outside of 30 days and would not assist us only to have a customer service representative hang up on me after refusing.”
“If I could choose zero stars, I would. Sears sent a technician to investigate a squeaking sound during the spin cycle of my washing machine. Service person spent much of the time on the phone and even had me hold the machine up while he inspected it. Finally, he said he thought it might be the motor but wasn't sure. He offered me the opportunity to pay $689. By then, I had a strong feeling Sears was not the company they used to be so I was eager to get him out of my house. Honestly, he made me feel uncomfortable. He reassembled my washing machine, charged me $129 and left. Two days later, I want to use my working (but squeaky) washing machine and the computer isn't working. It won't start and flashes to "Call Technician for Repair". Josh, the Sears tech, doesn't know how to reassemble a washing machine. I called Sears and they offered to charge me another $129 for a visit to fix what Josh broke.
***Do not work with Sears. They are a floundering organization and demonstrate no interest in customer service. Their service techs are incompetent and the company assumes no responsibility for their work AND damage their techs do.***”
“Bought a refrigerator 2 years ago with a $800 extended warranty. Fridge went completely out and now they don't know if it will be covered. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH SEARS!!!”
“DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. THEY CAN’T FIX THE PROBLEM 14 TIMES LATER AND WON’T REFUND YOUR MONEY. THEY WOULD’NT EVEN REPLACE THE DISHWASHER. ITS BEEN THE WORSE EXPERIENCE WITH ANY COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH .”
“I have called numerous times to get a credit on our credit card from an appliance repair. The estimated amount was actually charged to our credit card when the actual repair was less. The theme response from several calls - that rest assured I will get my credit. A month has gone by and I have not seen the credit. Someone should be calling me back to review this, but crickets on a response. I’m actually just going to reach out to my credit card company and deny all charges. When actually all I needed was a partial refund.
No manager was ever available to help me.
So disappointed ☹️”
“So apparently techs are allowed to charge what they think is worth thier labor, get this, I broke the latch on my washer I had one come in to my house to fix it he spent 8 mins on his phone looking up the part pulled out pliers spent less than 5s pulling it out....if im not mistaken labor is time worked right? So that's less than 5s and even if u add up all the time it was less than 9 mins ok cool he charged me 299.95 for labor because I guess 9 mins of his day was worth that much that's insane. I talked to my family about it, and buy the way I this is my first time owning a house and my first repair, I'm 25 some might say I'm old enough to know better but it was my first time dealing with this, anyways talk to my family and they told me they over charged I got to thinking and they were right. This man charged me over $30 per minute I had no idea that people got paid like that.”
“This is a scam plan. They renew 12 month contract without notification. They only honor semi annual AC check during a window of time. Tech said washer was repaired but it wasn't. The app is a joke when needing to speak to a person. SO many firewalls to keep you from them. When finally found a good # it had more firewalls and took 15 minutes on hold before a rep answered. Wanted to offer one month free-haha. Then said my contact wasn't up for 3 months. After a fight they finally sent email that it was canceled. I suspect they will try charging me still. If so they will regret that. This is a pure con game.”
“One item not shipped to the right address. The other one, customer service agent don't know what's going on. no wonder why sears closing stores and businesses. Never buy to third party sellers from sears website. Should be no stars for the review.”
