Sebastus was very helpful in allocating sailboat for us. Good initial service. However, when we arrived on island close to sailboat base we realized that Sebastus had little control over the actual quality of the sailboat that belong to a 3rd party yacht owner company. The local transportation service to sailboat base also failed completely. We had to charter local taxi on the spot. Arriving at the sailboat base we experienced 2+ hours of extra delays due to delayed vessel cleaning service and failures in the anchor winch mechanics. We had paid a premium to charter a new sailboat . However, the actual sailboat suffered from non existent maintenance. Lots of equipments like sails, anchor handling, and furniture suffered from poor conditions after extremely heavy wear and tier over the last 4 years of operations. Some international safety equipment was also missing, like storm sea anchor. Vessel owner just pointed at the sun when I asked for this safety equipment. The sailboat quality did not match the pictures in the charter prospect and was of course way below our expectations.
