An employee with Sedgwick confirmed with me that I could use my last two weeks of paid parental leave after my daughter's first birthday as long as I scheduled it before then. I have the Sedgwick employee's confirmation of this on voice-mail. Then during my leave, another Sedgwick employee told me they won't pay me because they don't pay the time after her 1st birthday. So that week and a half after her birthday was unpaid and I had to cover it with my sick hours. Luckily I never call in sick so I had over 100 hours of sick pay saved up I could use to cover the time but I shouldn't have had to pay (literally) for their mistake. I understand companies/people can make mistakes but they should of taken ownership in making it right. Instead the employee telling me they wouldn't pay me spoke down to me like I was a child, even after I told her I had a recording of the other employee confirming I would get paid. Terrible communication skills.
