Communication is poor, you only know what to do when you ask, no direction is given, you have to do all of the legwork even though you sign and give them permission to contact the Dr for further information and office visit notes nope, they will do nothing for you, they are a source of stress and anxiety when you are supposed to be recovering from surgery.....
Then there protocols are ridiculous, if the Dr says in the office visit you have to stay off work for 6 weeks to fully recover, but there protocols states that for the type of surgery you should be off for 4 weeks, they ignore the Dr, ignore any possible complications and give you the 4 weeks instead of the 6 weeks.
They as a company are unethical, uncaring, unhelpful and certainly not displaying any kind of empathy, they are difficult to deal with.
We had a storm that that left the Dr office and myself with no power, no telephone service or Internet which delayed getting my office visit notes to them to extend my leave, i missed my pay cutoff date and as a result went a month with no income, they didn't care, they offered nothing of benefit and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience, they took not 24-48 hours to get the claim done as the time frame they give, they took 5-7 days, they don't communicate to tell you what is happening or why it is taking so long, not a professional company to deal with.
If you can avoid dealing with them I would, the next time I am off for any kind of surgery I will be getting secondary insurance like Aflac and bypass these people.
