This is a review for Hermes Selfridges. I went there wanting to buy a pair of oran sandals, which I thought would be straight forward and fast but the guy in charge of the queue (Indian guy with glasses) takes my name and keys it into the phone and am asked to wait. To the security guard at selfridges Hermes who was telling the SA the queue sequence and tried to skip my turn as if I am invisible even though we are standing in line…I’m sorry you are so bitter with your life that you choose to play such games with customers. I feel sorry for your life.. Thank you to the wonderful ladies behind me who said I was waiting before them. I appreciate it. The SA was neither friendly nor unfriendly, just indifferent. .. I find it odd that I have to wait as I’m not trying to get a bag or anything.. so anyway, I left and went to goyard, queued went in, got a bag and walked back to selfridges. This is Almost an hour later, I went back to the store asked the guy, and he said I still have to wait!! And the worst part is, when I asked if they had oran sandals, he said I will have to wait until my turn. I mean…it’s just a pair of sandals. I really don’t understand. Needless to say, I left without getting the sandals. I will buy it at my home country where I will get better service for sure. I always wonder if Hermes trains their staff to behave this way as part of their marketing gimmick? I mean, I’m sure outside of work they don’t have this uppity I’m-better-than-you behaviour I always wonder why some Luxury brands SAs are so rude and judgmental.. if they were so great, shouldn’t they be on the other of the table as a customer instead of working as a sales assistant right?
