I hadn't used Serenata flowers before but was happy to use them because they did next day deliveries. I picked the flowers I wanted to send and went to write the gift note. They were flowers for congratulations but there were no congratulations cards available - the only cards that were available were an additional £3 on top of the flowers. I thought this was steep.
I emailed customer service and asked if someone could write my message on a white card - as used to be done - as I didn't want to pay the extra £3. They didn't want to do this - everything has to be done by the usual channels. I then asked if they had any congratulations cards then as my friend had neither died, passed her driving test, got married or needed thanking. They did not.
The only option was a card with their Serenata logo splashed across the front which was unpleasant and not what I wanted.
I was going to take my order elsewhere as I felt it was unnecessary to charge the extra £3 but in the end I stuck with the order because they had said they would deliver the next day.
The next day came and went and no flowers had been delivered. They were finally delivered the following day but by which time it was too late. I contacted customer services again and they didn't want anything to do with it.
I hope the flowers were OK because the effort in getting them there was not worth it and the customer service was derisory.
