Tried to buy a second one of these to match my first: good price, free shipping. But, after ordering and paying, received a call from the shipping company requiring me to meet them somewhere to pick up the carport. I have no way of hauling it. Shipper said they'd make arrangements to use a smaller truck and would call me back. Next thing I knew, shipping company had told Arrow I had canceled or refused or something, and my order would be returned to Arrow.
Arrow chose the wrong shipping company and now can't/won't make any other arrangements to get the carport to me. Arrow says I must wait to receive the refund until after the carport arrives back at Arrow, which is obviously out of my control.
Beware of Arrow's "free" shipping. That does not always mean what it is supposed to mean. In this case, it means "no shipping" at all and no carport for me. Even their invoice and order confirmation said it would be shipped via FedEx Ground, but Arrow used Saia Trucking instead--a company that, unlike FedEx, will not deliver to me.
When selecting a shipping company, Arrow should ensure that the goods can actually be delivered by them. It's not that hard to do, and it would result in not losing a sale or a customer's good will or damaging their reputation.
