I ordered a pair of blue Barbour boatshoes online. They arrived in the wrong colour. I went to the store in St Albans to change them and was told that the shoes I'd ordered were completely out of stock. Far from providing a reasonable solution or seek to compensate what was clearly Shoon's mistake and meant my time being wasted, the staff claimed that it was the warehouse's fault and not theirs. Furthermore, they got annoyed when I suggested that from my point of view as a customer, they all represented the same trademark/store. Honestly, it felt like I was being expected to deem being a customer as some sort of privilege. I have never experienced this anywhere else. I finally took a refund, which meant another 20 minutes of my time wasted, and finally bought the shoes elsewhere. To date, the shoes are still being advertised on the website.
