Sixt, Geneva Airport – NEVER AGAIN!
Hired a "lucky dip" car. Everything went smoothly at first, the car they gave us was good, we returned it, no issues, and then the invoice came. The price they charged us was more than twice the amount that we have already paid when booking the car from their website! The person at the Sixt counter sneekely added in extra insurance cover, charged for winter tyres and added some local taxes, etc. without any warning. The contract was done in French so when I signed I did not really know what I was signing. Blind trust in a "reputable" company did not work out well. When I tried to complain the answer was: you consented to everything because you signed the contract. Basically we were done like in some third world country. No, that's not fair - we have never been done like this in any of the third world countries that we visited.
