Minuses: The original agent really pushed us repeatably to take a much bigger and more expensive car than we had booked. To the point they only offered us cars two size levels above what we had booked as if that was all they had (we booked a "RAV4/Jeep Compass" (their description) and were offered a Tahoe and a Yukon). In the end I had to ask "Can we not just get the car we ordered, there is only 4 of us and two suit cases, we do not need seating for 7 adults"
The car we were at last given had significant damage, it was like it had been dragged to the parking spot on its side. It looked like it had structural damage not just panel damage.
The insurance they offered was twice the price of the insurance rates offered by Avis, Budget, and Thrifty. We only went with SIXT because their car rental rates were lower (got insurance through Expedia).
Pluses: When I went back to the desk and showed them a photo of the car they assigned us, they gave us a brand new GMC Terrain, which was a great car, no issues.
Returning the car was very easy, drove it past a giant scanner/camera thing, they confirmed straight away there was no damage or additional charges.
Hence the three stars, yes initially annoying but to their credit we got a good car for the price and no hassle return.
