DO NOT USE INTERAC EMAIL TRANSFER WITH SKIP THE DISHES, YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF, AND YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK.
This has happened 2 times to me now, 1 order of $38 and 1 order of $49 – Close to $100, robbed from me, with no resolution. When you do an interac transaction, you CANNOT CLOSE THE LAST PAYMENT WINDOW or you lose your money completely - so if you time out, your internet goes down, you accidently close the window, click another link, on a screen that says YOUR PAYMENT IS COMPLETE, well you are frigged, because your payment is complete, that doesn't mean your order has gone to skip, and in fact, it still hasn't. Here is what Skip the Dishes is doing:
They don’t process your order until they have been paid. SO, if you pay, and ANYTHING complicated your browser, or closes it, or any computer problems for the next few clicks AFTER you have paid, you will lose your money and SKIP will not process your order. So yes, you pay and don’t even get an order number to verify that you have paid. It’s insanely flawed, dated, and unfortunately, SKIPS support literally doesn’t care to fix this BUG that is really screwing quite a few people over daily and clogging gup the support.
- The issue is, this isn’t credit card, there is no consumer protection, my bank wont reverse the charges
- SKIPS support says this exact phrase “this is a preauthorization, and it will be returned to your bank in 3-5 business days) - unfortunately, as this happened almost 2 months ago, and 7 business days ago, well, that is factually incorrect.
***** Please note this is where the problem is - The SKIP team says "preauth" - pre auth requires some sort of authorization to tell the payment provider, hey this worked, or hey this didnt work - WELL, it seems this interact payment page is using the consumer to click the authorization - if that button isn't clicked, there is nothing confirming, nor denying the payment, although its already taken from your account - so poof, the money is "lost" in preauth because there is nothing to tell it no food was sent, or the transaction didnt reach skip - so now you are stuck paying, with no receipt. Cool eh
- Support 100% fails to acknowledge anything, and most of the time refers to it as a credit card, which is again, completely incorrect. They just really don’t care, yet there is nobody to escalate the problem to
So essentially what is a BUG in SKIPS interac payment process, I am out nearly $100 and I know I am not the only one. Yet, there is nobody who actually knows what happened, and their stock responses just go in circles, I have been lost in support for hours, multiple times, multiple people. I just want the money back that i litrerally paid for nothing. But there is nobody to talk to, and they keep saying call your bank, who is saying they wont do anything. I literally have banks statements showing I have been charged for food that never was processed or came through the skip app.
What can I possibly do? $100 is worth a lot to me.
