Dear Stuhrling, thank you for allowing me to comment on your products. Some time ago now, I dropped my Winchester 3982 automatic skeleton watch and smashed the glass face, not even extensively, only a small part. The watch also stopped working. I ordered a new watch, a seastar this time which I fell in love with. Trying to get the skeleton watch repaired I gave it to a watchmaker. His verdict? He wrote ‘glass fragments damaged the fine teeth of works ( low quality movement used). ‘ I’m none too pleased, given that I have chosen a third Stührling watch now, when I could have paid a lot less for possibly a better quality watch. I obviously hope that my Seastar watch works for a long time, but should it fail, I won’t be buying another Stührling I don’t think. I have not even received my Seastar watch but given that the post is slow due to COVID that is not Stührling’s fault.
