I had to replace my previous retractable clothesline as the spring for rewinding had failed. The lines were still fine, there was still full tension to hold a big load of washing, but to retract, it needed to be slowly wound in by hand. This was only a little bit disappointing as the device had been there, in the full sun, for at least 25 years. The replacement Austral, had the same location wall fittings - the bolts the same distance apart- and the same size arm holder - so fitting was a breeze. No drilling into a concrete wall or messing about on the fence. So although there were no identifying marks on the old one I think it was the same brand. If the new one lasts as long as the old one I'll be well over 90 before I need to replace it. Great product.
