I left TalkTalk around 2 months ago, I received a bill this morning, which obviously confused me. When checking what this bill was, I realised that my account with TalkTalk was still open, when I queried this, I was informed that TalkTalk only delete personal information and account information if the customer requests they do so. However, even when you request for this to happen, there is a chance that if their teams don’t respond within 21 days, the case is dismissed and you as the ex customer have to start the process again, on top of this, there is no way to track this process, and TalkTalk are refusing to give proof of this request being put through in writing. I’m not filled with hope that my personal data will be deleted, but for those thinking of leaving, ensure you ask TalkTalk to delete your info.
