So our 1 year contract was ending and we wanted to cancel it on the last day. Now they tell me that it needs 30 days for them to "fully disconnect" their services. They said it was in the terms and conditions but I never personally read it there. Then he asks me if I agree with the 30 days period. And I'm like, "I thought I did not have a choice?" So why ask me if I agree then? Does that mean that I have the option to disagree and you can actually end it on the last day? I told him it takes a press of a button to disable our internet unit so why need 30 days. And he tells me that he's just following protocol questions. And I said cancel the service on the last day. He tells me that unfortunately he can't do it now since he has already applied the "cease" on the account. That means earlier he could have actually done it!!! I told him how DISHONEST their service was for WILLFULLY WITHDRAWING information so that they could bill me for another month when we no longer need their services. This is just fraud. And because its the end for the promo term the next payment is actually £5 bigger than usual. I was so angry but I had enough. The chat has dragged on for almost an hour. I just let them win but I will spread the word so that people will be aware and not use their service.
