I've been using Hatch Chilies since I discovered them while visiting Albuquerque, NM more than 30 years ago. I had a friend's parents pick some that were roasted, I flew in, picked them up, got back on the plane and flew home to Phoenix. In recent years, some friends I went to graduate school with visited a colleague, and we had some roasted and took to our respective homes, Washington and Florida.
