Passing through Hatch the past two summers I stopped to get some green chiles. Oh man, they were good, the best I have ever had. This summer I had the opportunity to buy Pinto beans. I'm vegetarian, most of the time, have been making refried beans for decades. These pinto's were excellent, so much better than anything I've made. We are talking making refried beans for almost 50 years. Fresh beans made a big difference.
