The rug arrived and placed in the bedroon where a family member was residing, after an hr they had an asthma attack which they hadn't had in six months, the room was full of fumes from the rug, I removed it instantly and ventilated the room which smelt 3 days later, put it in the hall and a visitor commented straight away had to evacuate it to the shed, the sellers response was peg it on the line, this is normal. Of course new things smell we are used to this, I feel insulted that the customer services played it all down and said its normal, this was not normal this was extreme. To add insult to injury I had to pay the cost of returning it. I feel we should of got compensation for the incident as my family member was very distressed never mind having to pay carrier charges.. I wouldnt have gone for that had they paid the return charges for what I consider a faulty product but due to the very poor customer service we are seeking satifaction via the ombudsman service.
