We had the best experience learning to ski with Jacopo. As complete beginners, we had no idea what to expect and were feeling a little nervous. Jacopo put us completely at ease. We progressed rapidly over the six days of lessons, and felt like we got to see a lot of the mountain. Even though we were away from the rest of our group, learning, we didn’t miss out on the ski experience. Jacopo taught us in such a considered way, breaking down each move into different components and then building on these as the lessons went on. We also got exposure to the other aspects of skiing which can be intimidating for beginners: navigating the chairlifts, moving around the different runs, etc. He managed to keep the lessons fun and interesting, and expertly balanced teaching the pair of us so we felt equally attended to. We were very pleased with our progression by the end. We could ski calmly and competently - mission accomplished! Communication with the school was easy and reliable, and the instructors all have distinctive uniform so meeting up that first day is simple. Jacopo is an excellent instructor, and we would definitely use him again if we return to Meribel. I highly recommend the Snow School.
