Our delivery arrived too warm - some of the fish had internal temperatures above 8 and one was at 13 degrees. Quite surprisingly the customer service option was that it was all fine and that we should get on and eat it. In the end, they did refund some of the fish, but not all that was spoilt.
I could never trust this service again and worry that there is a lack of consumer protection for fresh fish deliveries when the supplier takes this attitude.
Your response below was factually incorrect, the fish arrived at the following internal temperatures which you have pictues of.
- mackrel - 13.3 degrees
- monkfish - 10.7 degees
- tuna - 10.2 degrees
- monkfish - 9.4 degrees
- salmon - 5.5 degrees
- hake - 6.6 degrees
- sea bream - 6.3 degrees
I did put all in the fridge immediately, I have thrown out the tuna and mackrel that you refunded. I've opened the monkfish - which stunk and certainly not fit for consumption.
It's not a great experience at all - made worse by your lack of care.
I will be reporting you to food standards - as you continue to ignore that you have a responsibility to deliver fish that is safe to eat. And you don't care when it doesn't arrive in a fit state.
