Purchased The Portland range of garden furniture in May 2020, with the hot weather we experienced mid July the furniture self combusted and set fire to other garden furniture and ruined our new garden decking. Contacted the range the following day to advise of what had happened which is quite a serious complaint and they couldn’t have cared less. Have had and emailed confirming receipt of my initial complaint and another from a customer service advisor to which no other contact has been made. Trading standards & the Office for
Product safety are now involved and plan on taking further action against the range.
Not even the CEO Alexander Simpkin can be bothered replying to a LinkedIn message regarding the dangerous and unfit products the company he is in charge of sells.
Save your money people! Steer clear and buy elsewhere! They aren’t interested in issues or if a problem arises! Spend your money elsewhere!
