Went in the shop and bought 9 items. While I have added them in the baket I calculated the amount I would need to pay. The total amount would've been at around 35£. When it came to payment ...the cashier told me 58.98£ . I was stunned. Took all items out of the bag and went one by one. At the shelf were priced completely different (e.g. L'Oréal shampoo was on offer at 1.49£ at the till 2.99£). I said alright...human error, they must've missed updating. Light bulbs...at the shelf 1.29£ at the till 2.29£. Then checked all items and every single item was priced different at the shelf than at the till.
It was frustrating and the girl at the check out said something about 24hr policy to ammend prices, etc. I was wondering, why shall I pay for their mistake ?! Well, if there is any mistake. Is that a modern scam way to rip people off?. I can not count how many times I have been in this shop and never checked the receipts. Isn't there any authority to look up these incidents?!
