Purchased a BBQ from the Torquay store. Found it leaked fat on the first use, when I returned it to the store I was informed by a supervisor that as it had been used it could not be returned. This is interesting take on how you find out an item is faulty. The manger was called who was very arrogant and argumentative, said that 3 burgers had too much fat, I had used the wrong fuel, which was supplied by the Range. He was very argumentative and said he would do nothing about it. I was told to contact customer services. They said they only deal with online orders and advised I complain through the website. I received a reply after a week telling me to send it to another email address. I then sent it to that address and got a scripted reply stating they will be in touch as fast as possible. It is now over three weeks and I have had no updates, despite asking for some by email. You cannot speak to anybody in person as I was informed the Customer Care department do not have a phone.
I have a decking that has to be repaired due to the grease stains and a BBQ that is faulty and potentially dangerous and no help from The Range who supplied it.
My only hope is through the small claims courts.
I have given one star as you cannot give zero.
