I used number 4 dark brown to do my regrowth. I have balayage so I didn’t do my whole head. The colour was rich and very good quality. The best part was no horrible ammonia smell! I may choose a slightly more ash shade next time but it blended my roots well. My only criticism would be that with the developer in a sachet it is quite wasteful. If it was in a bottle you could do small touch ups when needed. I only used half the mixture and had to throw the rest out. It would also be great if The Shade did other developers like a no lift one to allow their colours to be used as toners. Overall I am pleased with the quality and will try them again.
