“I absolutely love the results :) my hair feels so soft and silky afterwards and the colour is a beautiful natural brown. The kit gives you so many tools to use for future dying and the quality of everything was great. I have very long hair so there was more than enough product to colour everything. In these lockdown times, it was great to have everything delivered to my door in an all-in-one easy kit. I’m thinking I may never need to go to a salon for colouring anymore haha. “Since using The Shade I no longer suffer from scalp issues such as rashes, burning or itchy scalp. At my age, 70, I need to colour the roots frequently which wasn't possible with other products due to my scalp sensitivity. I love the colour, dark ash, and find it soft and flattering and a good transition from the darker shades I used to use. I don't wish to add a photo but thanks for your lovely product.”

“I was nervous about coloring my hair because the last time I dyed my hair I went with a permanent color which I didn’t love and it took 3 horrible years to grow out! I contacted The Shade colorists who listened to my concerns & goals and recommended I try a demi (10 vol) with Trento 5.1 and I couldn’t be happier - my hair is soft, glossy & the greys are beautifully blended! I’d highly recommend The Shade to everyone wanting to color their hair!”

“It's been many years since I've coloured my own hair but after tiring of the amount of time and money I was spending on salon colours I decided to give The Shade a go. I'm so glad I did! Living in a regional area means it's extra convenient having it delivered so smoothly and well packaged. Receiving a full kit with bowl, brush, clips, cape and decent quality gloves even made it a fun self-care experience. I followed the personalised colour advice from The Shade expert and was delighted with the colour results and truly satisfying grey coverage, a major issue for me. Highly recommend giving it a try. A bonus was the lack of strong chemical smell and my hair being in super soft condition afterwards. I'm saving a lot of money and feeling very confident in my hair colour again!”

“It is such a good system, no rushing to the supermarket late at night to try and buy some due to match your hair, it’s always there with the auto ship system and the quality of the product is outstanding, I have quite a few greys and the coverage is great and it looks like I have highlights. “Wow wow wow!!! I’ve entered a stage in my life where I’m not ready for all the grey hair I’ve developed so quickly. I’ve also noticed that my hair that hasn’t turned grey yet, has lightened. I didn’t want to try every dye under the sun to find the right dye and I was scared that the dyes wouldn’t colour my greys or tint it the wrong colour so you can tell that’s where my greys are (I’ve seen it on others). Thanks to all the reviews on this product, I chose ‘The Shade’. It was the best decision made and I had dyed my hair the day before going to the hairdresser. My hairdresser was so impressed and said that my hair colour looked so natural and it didn’t look like I had dyed it myself. She said there a couple of areas that were a bit light but she couldn’t fault the dye at all. I wish I had taken photos of the before and after. But I can say that this dye gave me confidence back and I will continue using this product for the rest of my days! Thanks so much team!!!”

Hi Nina, I'm a bit confused, as you advised our colourist that you were happy with your result, but still wanted to go lighter. You asked what colour and toner we recommend to slowly lighten. Our colourist advised that you would need to repeat the colour pigment removal process as you can't lighten without removing the darker colour pigments. She also recommended a couple of lighter colours you can use after you have removed the darker pigments which would give you a lighter colour result. We also assisted by providing you with a 50% discount on a toner to reduce brassiness. “I was purchasing hair colour from my local chemist which was a chestnut brown, wasn’t a huge fan of the red tone that would show through. BUT then I came across THE SHADE! I was wanting to go back to an ash brown, so I spoke with the hair specialist that suggested the Trento 4.1 ash brown. I was so happy with the result! It removed the red tone that was coming through from the chestnut brown and gave me a natural ash brown colour. My hair has felt so smooth, and was left so shiny. I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner also which leaves my hair feeling smooth, soft and healthy. My ends were brittle and this hair colour and their treatments have helped my hair so much! I highly recommend this company, they will not disappoint! I will continue to buy my hair colour through The shade! I was so happy with the product that I recommended it straight away to friends and family.”

“I've been colouring my hair myself for about 20 years. I was very excited to try this but sadly it came out extremely patchy and looks really bad. The colour turned out black when it was meant to be brown and it just didn't colour some parts at all. My hair was definitely covered I didn't miss any parts. I do like the addition of the remover if it gets on your skin though.”
