It was our first time in Bali and on the whole trip was well planned and services were as committed. We were happy with our experience though there is always some room for enhancements. The resort at Ubud ( Ashoka tree resort)though beautiful had some attitude issues. The breakfast was not a buffet and they were extremely tight fisted with their quantities, including bread or butter and jam. So much so that we took to carrying our own butter along. There were no glasses in the room and when we asked for them we were told that we should have prebooked them and that we could always have water in the tea cups provided?.
The driver though courteous was extremely non informative , and the itinerary was apparently planned in such a way that no lunch time was factored in on most days and he had no idea where to stop so we could have our lunch. Any full day plan should always have a stop over for lunch at a decent place included even if we are buying it ourselves.
The second property (Jumboluwuk)was very well located with a sumptuous buffet breakfast, and a very cooperative and courteous staff .
Another point pertinent point to mention is that flight bookings were a major headache and definitely should have been handled more smoothly. And our flight out was very inconvenient and tiring.
And lastly Thrillophillia should look into facilitating visa processes where required.
