Poor poor service. I ordered flowers to be delivered to my wife's work for Valentine's Day. I rarely do this, like once in every 8 years, so I thought to surprise her this year as we are going through some stressful home renovations. So the order was placed, delivery set for Feb 14th along with before 1 PM as she works 7 AM to 3 PM. The flowers did not arrive. I called and left 2 voice messages. No call back. The tracking system kept saying "order will be assigned soon".
February 15th. Still no delivery. I called the number again. Still no call back.
I sent two emails to a couple links I found on their website. One for order status. The second for lost or damaged item. Again, no one got back to me.
More searching around, which is ridiculous that there is so much navigating with so many different email links, and I found a customer service email. I sent a polite email despite how unhappy I was with everything; you get more bees with honey than vinegar, right. I got a reply within a couple hours. Semi-helpful email but lacking any apology to the situation. Why do they have a "pick the delivery date" option when obviously they cannot keep it? I'm reading others recent reviews who have also had similar issues.
So to add to this all, around 8 PM on the night of the 15th, I get a phone call from the courier driver. He is at my wife's work, looking to deliver the flowers. There is no one there and he isn't sure what to do. He asked for our home address to deliver them in a few hours, remember it's already 8 PM. I'm at work in west Mississauga, well away from our Toronto home, and my wife will be going to be very soon after 8. I know it isn't the courier driver's fault. He is just doing his job. We tried to work something out over the phone and he explained that he had many flower deliveries. I wonder how many angry customers there are with Toronto Blooms after this Valentine's Day?
The flowers did make it to my wife early this morning, two days after the scheduled delivery date. I am glad that they aren't wilted.
It may be another 6 to 8 years before I decide to send her flowers to the office again; but believe me when I say that I won't forget this s**t show with Toronto Blooms. I'm currently looking at how I can leave a Google review. I have gotten into the habit of leaving Google reviews, both praising great businesses and restaurants, and voicing out to the crappy ones. It's amazing how many people use Google reviews. I'm not sure how many people will use this site as it is a first for me.
