The tour of highlands and the Jacobite train was fabulous.
The tour was well planned and the tour guide Jemma was so sweet and helpful and had very good stories too.
The only problem we faced was that the breakfast at one accommodation was not served on time and totally mismanaged and as a result our start of the day was so rushed up and stressful. Not eating breakfast properly on the long journey made me feel quite sick. So it should be looked into, if the team had planned to leave at 8.15 am then you cannot serve us breakfast at 8.10 am and ask us to just rush and gobble up the food.
Another big problem i faced was while booking the tour. The tour took 2 days to book after my payment was deducted and therefore it left me very little time to book the accommodation and travel plans etc and the response was very very slow from the tour company. So maybe it should be really looked into as it is very difficult for customers to be unsure like this on an a limited time/stay visa.
And lastly i really seriously feel that the contact number of the guide on tour should be given to each and everyone in the tour for safety and help as it is a 3 day long tour and it is highly difficult to email the office if we need to directly speak with the tour guide urgently or if you feel sick or are in an emergency. it was very irresponsible to not provide us with numbers or maps of the places we visited.
If privacy were an issue, then some official mobile numbers should be given to guides to communicate with us. i fell ill in the tour and nearly fainted in the square and i had no way of connecting with my guide till almost an hour when i mailed the company. It is very strange and some solution should really be made for this.
Otherwise the tour, guide and Scotland were simply great.
