Not always the cleanest. I have stayed in Travelodge rooms with stained and 'grubby' carpets and decor more than I would like. Supposedly low-cost, I've never managed to achieve their frequently advertised "rooms under" rate (currently "under £38"). Travelodge usually manage to undercut the price of competitors in the local area so provide a service if cost is the absolute priority.
