We have stopped at various travelodge's and have no complaints as a whole. We make allowances for little problems we may encounter because, we don't expect 5*, we want clean and tidy rooms, a nice restaurant, for breakfast and evening meal if required & pleasant staff. And that is what we generally receive. We ( me and the Wife of 45years, who recently turned 70) hope to continue to use Travelodge's over many more years and have no hesitation in recommending them. This trip is to pay a visit to Buckingham Palace, which will be something to tick off the wife's bucket list. Admittedly not the closest Travelodge to the Palace, but we have stopped at Wembley before and liked it.
